Bec O'Malley
Bec O’Malley was born and raised in Manchester, England. With family roots in Ireland, he grew up hearing a mix of folk and country music at home - from Christy Moore to Johnny Cash. Bec taught himself guitar and began writing songs at age 12 after being inspired by Britpop pioneers The Stone Roses, Oasis and The La’s. He quickly became immersed in the Manchester music scene as a teenager, playing in bands around local Irish bars and open mic nights.
Now 22 years old Bec is ready to debut his solo project which he describes as a fusion of country, folk and pop. He’s yet to release original music; however, he has amassed around 6 million views and 50K+ followers across TikTok, Instagram and other social channels, gaining new fans with each video - be it a cover or original song performed. Bec’s country-leaning Americana style and old school soul voice have become the signature attraction to all who find him. Recently added as support for HARDY in both the UK and Europe and with summer festivals being announced, like BST at Hyde Park supporting ELO, Bec's got a bright road ahead.
