WEEKEND RETURN

Camping for the weekend? Choose to arrive at the festival’s official coach park on Thursday or Friday, and return to your pick-up location on Monday.

Travel from: Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Colchester, Coventry, Ipswich, Kettering, Leicester, London (Stratford), London (Victoria Coach Station), Milton Keynes, Northampton (Grange Park), Norwich, Nottingham, Reading (Calcot), Reading (Winnersh Triangle) and Swindon.

DAY RETURN

Got your eye on one day in particular? Your carbon-neutral coach will get you to the gates before the music starts on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, and return to your pick-up location after the headliners. You won’t need to worry about leaving early for the last train, booking expensive hotels or being the designated driver.

Chelmsford Train Station is the nearest train station to Hylands Park. Please check timetable and updates on any planned works taking place event weekend.

Trains tickets can be purchased via the Greater Anglia website. It is advised to book train tickets in advance to ensure availability.

 
If you are travelling by train from London, Oyster Cards are not valid to Chelmsford. This includes Pay As You Go credit and London area zone Travel Cards. A separate rail ticket to Chelmsford will be required which you must purchase before you board the train. You cannot offer to pay the difference in any fare once you arrive in Chelmsford. If you arrive without a valid rail ticket you may have to pay a penalty fare. Please ensure you have the correct ticket before you travel.

On approach to the site, please follow relevant signage which will be clearly displayed.

Travelling from East Anglia
- Please follow the A12 to Chelmsford

Travelling from The South or West
- Take the M25 and exit at junction 28 to the A12
- At Chelmsford exit from the A12 to the festival site along the A414
- Once on the A414 be sure to check the signs and follow the appropriate directions.

Travelling from The North
- If you are travelling from the north via the M11 follow the signs from Junction 7 to Chelmsford on the A414.
- Once at Chelmsford you will pick up the directions for Hylands Park.

Exiting the Site
Most customers generally try to leave at the same time, which causes congestion, especially on Monday morning when local people travel to work.

There are a limited number of gates going out of the park and the egress can be slow. Please be patient, the Police and Stewards will do all they can to assist and get you away from the site as quickly as possible.


A number of official Car Parks will be available.

Please note that customers will be allocated a car parking space in one of our designated car parks. The car parks are colour coded, and you will be issued with a carpark ticket for a specific-coloured car park.

Please make a note of the specified car park colour you are allocated and head there on the day of the event. You will not be permitted entry into any other carparks other than the one you are allocated.

Car parking is on grassland, please have appropriate footwear. Some of the carparks require walking across undulating ground to get to the arena entrance.

Car parking MUST be booked in advance.

There will be a designated pick up and drop off. Please do not get dropped in any other locations.

Please leave plenty of time for ticket checks and searches when planning your journey!

The nearest major airport to Chelmsford in Essex is London Stanstead airport (18 Miles).

Alternatively you could fly in to London City Airport (34 miles).

We strongly advise planning your journey before leaving for the festival. Specific travel information will be sent out via email to Accessibility customers prior to the event.

If driving please be wary that road restrictions directing traffic to specific car parks including our Accessibility Car Park) will be in place during the event. Please follow the temporary road signs, rather than sat nav near Hylands Park.
